The Franco Scottish Festivals

Every summer, the town of Aubigny sur Nere organized in collaboration with the twinning committee of Haddington, the Franco Scottish festivals.

Bagpipes and Scottish culture in honor of this weekend of celebration

In July, the town of Aubigny sur Nere, commonly known as "City of Stuart," organizes the Franco Scottish Festivals with the twinning committee Aubigny / Haddington.

The city hosts every year thousands of people who are guided by the sound of the bagpipes and the various Pipes Bands from France, Scotland and elsewhere.

In the streets of Aubigny, parades and military marches punctuated by bagpipes immerse the audience in the Scottish culture and traditions.

A real treat for lovers of Celtic music.

The essential point to eat the haggis

While the city is celebrating, visitors can discover and taste the many Scottish food specialties.

In honor of the festivities : the haggis, a traditional dish of Scotland.

A lunch or dinner, everyone gathers in the Great Gardens of the Castle Stuart to taste haggis and enjoy the medieval animations : fire-eating, fighting, acrobatics, equestrian fantasies ...

Each year, the shows are amazing moments of rebirth of the town of Aubigny and his ancestors, the Stuarts of Aubigny.
